Pastor Dick: I just reviewed your page on the life and times of John Denver. Are you sure you have your facts correct on his early actng career? I think you have John confused with Bob Denver. John's first acting job was with Dennis Weaver in the middle 70's. After that he starred in his own television show"The John Denver Show". Shortly after that show cancelled he had many television specials and starred in the major motion picture "Oh God!"

Dear Mr. Duck,

I talked to my announcer and resident media expert, Mr. Dayle Embree, about this, and here's what he said: Dennis Weaver was best known in the 1960's as "Chester" on the CBS series, "Gunsmoke." He was also famous for his role as "McCloud" which aired on NBC in the early 1970's. Mr. Embree is certain that Weaver never did a guest spot on "Gilligan's Island," and that Denver never appeared on "McCloud," due to typecasting issues relating to Gilligan.
